2021 Colorado Villard Noir- one of only two varieties we received out of Colorado in the “lost” vintage of 2021 (the other being Verona). This is our 3rd time releasing a wine from this grape, but the first that has been red as opposed to rosé. A cold hardy hybrid that was popular in Bordeaux during the mid-20th century, this grape produces wines with a lighter tannin profile and beautiful raspberry and strawberry flavors with a slight earthiness— similar to Pinot Noir. Aged in 100% neutral French Oak, this wine is easy drinking and great with either salmon or chicken.
